Squares is back once again after a long hiatus. This challenge is hosted by Becky @ The Life of B. May’s topic is about Burgeoning – Move Forward – Reconstruct – Renew.

This photo was taken in Paris last year, a tourist boat moving forward along the River Seine.
Renewal and Reconstruction of Notre Dame

I had a few days in Paris last year with a friend and her husband used to like to sit and watch the progress of the rebuilding of this famous landmark.

Very clever, three in one – and what lovely shots of Paris. You had good weather 🙂
Thanks Becky, just had one day of rain..maybe I should have eked out my photos!
Perfect choices for the challenge. 🙂
What lovely pictures! Perfect for the theme.
What great weather. We had good weather in October as well, when did you go?
August last year
Oh yes, the way Notre Dame is rising again from the ashes is a perfect example of renewal and moving forwards!
Thanks Sarah, it’s a difficult theme and quite challenging!
A perfect choice for the challenge>
Thanks Margaret
Great choice, Ali! I watched a documentary on the rebuilding and it’s quite incredible the work they’re doing.
Amazing, giving lots of people employment too
Great pictures! I heard that Notre Dame will be back up and running at the end of this year- I hope that’s true 🙂
Thanks Meg 😊
Ah, so you solved your conundrum! Good choices.
Haha yes, the Notre Dame suddenly popped up
Fantastic to see Notre Dame rising from the neighbourhood again. Excellent choice.
They seem to have restored Norte Dame relatively quickly given the complexity, don’t they
Quicker than La Sagrada!
Quicker than we build 3 miles of road in England too 😂
Not looking forward to driving on those pot holed roads!
I know what you mean
It must have been interesting to watch them match something so unique as they repair Notre Dame. My husband would love to take a river cruise somewhere in Europe next year for our anniversary.
I’ve always wanted to do that, they look so relaxing
Well, save your pennies, and go with us next June. That’s our anniversary! I have a spring sale book from Viking that Vince put on my desk to look through.
Our anniversary is in June also
I have big plans to visit the US next year as our dear friends are going back to live..They’ve chosen South Carolina
That’s a beautiful state. I’ve been to parts of it briefly on a Civil War Tour I went on several years ago. I loved Charleston.
I am married go a civil engineer and we often stop and watch construction sites. Incredible to think that they have all those long ago skills still.

Yes that’s right, there can’t be many stone masons left now
