This week for one word Sunday, Debbie at Travel with Intent has chosen “Pond or Ponder”. I’ve found a few with quotes to go with my photos. Stay a while and ponder.
It is better to be a big fish in a small pond than a small fish in a mighty ocean

2012
2021
Our little fish pond, built in 2012. Different fish and some more plants, but still going strong. DH’s (Dear Hubby) hobby.
“I have found it a singular luxury to talk across the pond to a companion on the opposite side”
~ Henry David Thoreau ~

โRemain in the world, act in the world, do whatsoever is needful, and yet remain transcendental, aloof, detached, a lotus flower in the pond.โย
โย Osho,ย The Secret of Secrets

Butchart Gardens, Vancouver Island
Hue Citadel, Vietnam
It’s the smallest fish in the pond that has the most room to swim – or the smallest cow!

As a young man, Peter Gabriel wrote, sitting by a pond contemplating his futureโฆ.โAnd will I wait forever, beside this silent mirror, and fish for bitter minnows, amongst the weeds and slimy waterโโฆ.thereโs an offbeat โpondโ quote for you!!
Yes thank you, that is a lovely quote
Oh, well done! Iโm still ponderingโฆ.

Thanks Janet ..will pass on your comments ๐
I remember that beautiful pond at Butchart Gardens. When we saw it the flowers surrounding it were all shades of orange.
Thanks for your comment ๐
Oh now, fish are all very well but the cow is genius!
Yes I thought so. It represents the cows that used to wander freely a hundred years before
The quotes were a perfect fit for your images. I loved the two of your fish pond. Must be so rewarding to look back and see how it has filled in. Donna
