Here’s to your good health everyone. Cheers Big Ears and that’s the way it goes Big Nose. Down the Hatch. Chin Chin and Salute to name but a few sayings before we take a drink.
A few from over the years and around the world.
For Becky’s SquareUp. Have a great weekend everyone, don’t drink too much 🤣

Have never heard “cheers, big ears”! Love it!
Must be an English thing 😂
it’s a Scottish phrase but looking on google it seems to be Australians who have turned it into a drinking phrase 😀
I was using it before coming to Australia ..didn’t realise it was Scottish
ah there must be some Scottish in you!!
Who knows!
😳😄😄
That’s a lot of ‘pleasures of drinking’ captures.I am with you on that bottle of wine bit, cheers Ali❣️
It seems I have rather a lot of drinking photos !
Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc mixed? Unusual…..
I don’t think so . I only ever drink sav blanc 😬
Zoom in on your header image, what does it say on the label?
Haha you’ve caught me out ..I suppose I must have been desperate ..that was taken at Lake Skadar in Montenegro
No problem, only a wine nerd like myself would have spotted it 😂 Where do you like your Sauvignon Blanc from, local or global?
New Zealand .. I can’t shake the habit! ..although having a very nice Vino Verde at the moment in the garden
Vino Verde was the first wine I ever drank, I was a postgrad student and my prof. left us a bottle first night we did babysitting for him. (Part of my wine tales in my first wine book just published.) My own favourite Sauvignon Blanc is a Johnson Estate Spy Valley from NZ, absolutely brilliant, part of my collection.
My hubby goes to a Portuguese shop miles away to buy it
oh these are such fun 😀
I do seem to have rather a few ..it has been commented on
Love the Header shot, Alison 🙂 🙂 And I’m far too easily tempted!
Thanks Jo 😬
Never heard Cheers Big Ears either so interesting to learn it’s Scottish. Hope you have a good weekend Alison!
Thanks Marion 🙂
Pleased to be acquainted with someone who’s photographed so often with a glass in her hand. Nearly all of my photos are like that. Even when I was once in a wheelchair I had a glass of wine in my hand. However, mine is always red and I have eclectic tastes there, I like to ring the changes.
Nothing like a glass of wine or two to end the day
I can’t get onto your blog ..what is the name of it now
Cheers my friend
Cheers, Ali! Have a great weekend.
You too Ju-Lyn 🥂
Clever! I could definitely have done a post like this, too.
Haha thanks 🥂
lol looks like you like a wine or two 🙂
Haha I do indeed
What a happy post and toast.
Thanks Jo 🍾
