Tina from Travels and Trifles has asked us to post our favourites of 2025 for Lens Artist Challenge this week. It took me a while to look back and select just 12, one for each month.
January

A wonderful start to 2025 with my son Laurence marrying his fiancee Maddy. Such a happy day.
February
I took this in my garden, these little birds are usually hard to capture.
March
Also taken from my garden, most probably relaxing with a glass of wine watching the sky change colour.
April

Another from the garden! I did leave the house, I promise.
May

Somewhere in England
June
Cottesloe Beach, Western Australia
July
Zac on the pier, Nedlands, Western Australia
August
Cheeky Galah, Perth, Western Australia
September

The Munchkins, Kings Park, Perth, Western Australia
October
Comporta, Portugal
November

Leaving Portugal and returning to England
December

Sensory overload! Father Christmas arrived much to the delight of the munchkins.
Thanks for the memories Tina, this was a difficult challenge but happy I took part.

Beautiful memories of 2025. Happy 2026, Ali.
Thanks Rupali 😊
Perfect start to the year, Ali. You look beautiful in your wedding frock, and so happy. I remember that moment from my son’s wedding too xx
Thanks Jo 🙂, time just slips by
A lovely gallery of favourites of 2025 Ali 😀 My favourites are the Nedlands jetty, Aprils sky and the Galah looking at you over it’s shoulder
Thanks so much Brian 😊
Lovely set of memories, Ali!
Thanks 😊
Lovely collection of memories, Alison. May 2026 be just as good to you and family.
Thanks Sofia, I hope your year also brings happiness
Nice gallery – Cottesloe Beach, the Galah and the busy (!) port stand out for me. The latter illustrates nicely how busy and important our oceans are. And why we need to protect them.
Happy New Year to you and yours.
Thanks Bob, I’m blessed to be living near the ocean
Alison, your gallery showcases such a wide range of photographic styles—clearly the result of a year devoted to your craft. I’m especially drawn to your April image. That sky is absolutely beautiful.
Thanks John, sitting in my garden watching the sky and birds is my favourite thing to do
I enjoyed following you through the past year Alison 🙂 The munchkins are very cute and I loved the Cheeky Galah and the soft light in your October shot.
Thanks Sarah, hope you have a good year of travelling to look forward to
Beautiful collection!
Thanks 😊
I like the monthly photo as a way to recap your year. Clearly you enjoy travel and family.
