“Water is the driving force of all nature.“
~ Leonardo da Vinci ~
The challenge from Lens Artist this week is “Water in Motion” by Sophia @ Photographias.
Who doesn’t take photos of water? Everything about water, sea, rivers, lakes and waterfalls is just waiting for a photo. Here are some of mine over the years.
I would love to see this in Perth right now! It’s just another day in paradise here but in dire need of rain as trees and plants die, as huge branches fall heedlessly to the pavement below.
“I’ve seen your stormy seas and stormy women,
And pity lovers rather more than seamen”
~ Lord Byron ~
“For whatever we lose (like a you or a me),
It’s always our self we find in the sea.”
― e.e. cummings –
Love the pictures of the different types of bodies of water.

Great photos! Do people actually go on that bridge in the third photo?

Great photos, Alison! The Tasmanian water looks spectacular. The only waters I recognised here was Gullfoss!

Oh Ali, I couldn’t help but laugh that both of your choices of moving water which is falling rain is……England!! Sums it up huh. I also like the “stormy weather and stormy women” quote. I know I’m retired now but I will always maintain that one of the major reasons that my business was a success was that I filled the place with feisty females. So much better than those men who faff around instead of making quick decisions (scared of getting it wrong). And it was stimulating to be surrounded by feisty characters. Michaela, however, isn’t feisty. I no longer need that! 😂

Thanks Phil for your comments. Michaela sounds like she’s a port in a storm. You’re right, only rainy photos from the UK

So many to love Ali. Lots of unique finds. The seaman quote made me laugh. probably truth in that. lol The waterfall walkway in Tasmania was interesting, and the mural, we’ll done, wasn’t it? And the last photo my favorite.

Fantastic post, Alison. From the bleak UK day, the waterfall and my favourite the Wellington Dam, you have a great collection. Thank you for joining us.

You’d be more than welcome to some of our rain if I could only parcel it up and put it in the post to you! Having said that, I do love your first photo 🙂 The mural on that dam looks amazing, and the bridge at the Tasmanian waterfall decidedly hairy!

Thanks Sarah, still having exceptionally hot days. The mural is an outstanding piece of work, I did a post over a year ago. We didn’t risk the bridge either!

These are terrific Alison. You couldn’t pay me enough money to go onto that bridge in Tasmania!!

Thanks Tina, I feel pretty sure people who were on it had to wear safety gear

Wow, Alison! Love the falls images. Iceland is on my short list of places to visit.
I’m usually OK with bridges, but I’m not so sure about that one in Tasmania! Great challenge response.
