~ Exploring Swan Valley: Riverbank Estate ~

Off for our usual Sunday jaunt to a winery in the Swan Valley. We haven’t been to the Swan Valley for a while, preferring to go into the Perth Hills for the views. More wineries are located in the Swan Valley, along with restaurants, cafes and farm shops. We had lunch at Riverbank Estate overlooking the green vineyards. There’s a mediterranean ambience here, maybe due to the terracotta and limestone brick architecture.

The service and food were excellent. As it was a super hot day there were hanging water spouts squirting a cool mist over us.

On the way out I stopped to take a few photos of the decorative window frames.

Something for Monday Window!

  1. These are wonderful windows that aren’t windows Ali. A nice sparkling wine on a hot day and misting as well, almost perfect

  2. Hi there Ali! My family is visiting Perth for 10 days this winter and I am thinking of doing a road trip in southwest (?) for maybe 4 nights/ 6 days. My initial thoughts is going to and making Margaret River our base outside of Perth for the entire road trip. And then I read several of your WA posts today (Busselton, Yallingup, Pemberton, Gnarabupp, Margaret River) and now I’m a bit confused (in a good way) where to go and where to base ourselves. Our family has 2 older teens and we like short hikes, seeing some animals in the wild, peaceful views, and relaxing over good food. May I ask for your opinion please, if we have 4N/6 days for the road trip from and to Perth, may I ask where should we base ourselves (oh we do not like very long drives so wondering too if we should still Pemberton). Thank you so much Ali. 🙂

    1. Oh hello
Sorry I just saw this! I haven’t been on my blog for a while due to my husband being quite ill.
All of those places sound great. I love all of them.
You could do two nights in Dunsborough which is a lovely seaside town. Then two nights in Pemberton which is more in the country. We stayed at the RAC place, it has great two and three bedroom villas. Youve probably already been!
