This week for Sunday Stills hosted by Terri the challenge is the colour blue. As it happens I took a few blue shots last week at Perth’s Lightscape, an event on at Kings Park. The Park was transformed into an after-dark light spectacular, with all kinds of dazzling light displays.
I met up with four other friends and we started first in a wine bar for some nibbles and wine.
It’s a ticketed event and you need to book a time slot, the walk through takes around an hour.
From the first moment we were all entranced, it’s a spectacular sight to behold. We were lucky that the rain had stopped for our hour, as it was raining before and after that!
As we entered there were many light patterns on the path.
In the trees
Constantly changing colours
On the ground
Finishing up in the Cathedral of Lights
It was a fabulous night out with great friends, always making memories
I thought I would double dip with this challenge, so posting also for Natalie’s Coffee Share and Public Art Challenge.
This looks wonderful!

I love this sort of lights festival – they’ve become popular here in the winter months. It’s fun to be able to enjoy yours at what is to us the ‘wrong’ time of year!

Utterly gorgeous, Ali! What a beautiful art installation your city puts on. Our city could certainly take some lessons.

This reminds me a little of Liverpool’s River of Light last November.

Kings Park is gorgeous at any time and would be the perfect venue for a display like this. What fun!

We have a similar light show, but inside as it’s in the winter near Christmas. So it has a very Christmas theme. I like this one better because of the natural trees. Of course, in the pouring rain, it would NOT be fun!

With a booked time and the cost I guess you’d find an umbrella!

High fives on the double dip, Ali! What a fun event–I forget you are still experiencing winter there if the coats are any indication. That cathedral of lights to walk through looks fun. The lights look spectacular and the blue lights in the trees in the trees are perfect for the color challenge! Now I want to go do something like that–will have to wait for Christmas no doubt 😉

Thanks Debbie, it was a lovely evening. I’ve been following your adventures in the UK. You must feel so torn, but I always said when my parents visited here my kids probably saw more of them than if we lived in the same country
