I came upon this tree during our weekend away in Stratford-upon-Avon and thought it very apt for Becky’s Squareodds and also for Marsha’s Public Art Challenge.

I’ve seen a few trees that had been yarn bombed but never such a large one. Even the colourful branch is thicker than the trees and poles I have seen.
There were a few trees about like this, it looked like knitted squares!
Thanks for your comments 🙂
exactly what I was going to say!!
I’ve never heard that expression 😀
A weird and wonderful tree for sure 🙂
What a acool tree, Ali. You can never be anything but on time for PPAC. The reason is that there is no theme, so if it doesn’t come in on time for one post, it makes it for the next. That makes it easy. The only requirement is that it is public art. Easy peasy! 🙂
Thanks for confirming 😁
wow what a yarn bombed tree
“Keeping the winter chills away” Haha – yeah! 😀
Nice bit of yarn bombing there. They must have used a ladder for the high up parts.
It would have been interesting to watch 😁
Thanks for your comments
Such a cool find, Ali. I agree with some that I also saw smaller versions with knitted covering for the trunks…this one is really huge 👍🏼
Thanks Teresa 🙂
What a great idea. I wonder who came up with it and who placed those high up decorations.
It does make the tree look better in the winter 😊
