A few from my walk around Lake Herdsman yesterday. It’s hatching season in Perth at the moment and I was lucky enough to see a few babies! This lake is home to many species of waterfowl due to the shallow water and dense rushes.
I found it quite difficult to take photos of moving birds! So I’ve added a couple of videos at the end.

I love baby moorhens, they’re so tiny and black and fluffy ❤

I saw quite a few but the mothers quickly pushed them into the rushes !

Lake Herdsman looks great, so full of life and what a lovely place to wander and explore. We love places like that.

Lovely and peaceful ..takes 2 hours to get round but we only walked for a short while

These moorhens and coots look similar to our American ones. Nice captures. Sorry I haven’t visited in a while. 🙂
